I'm hoping somone has a slick way to accomplish this task. We have an old AD domain and we're currently in the process of migrating to a new AD domain. The primary file server resides in the old domain. Even though a trust relationship exists, groups from the new domain need to be added to shares and folders to allow access from the new domain. The file server will be migrated over eventually, but we have to straddle these two domains for a while longer.
Can anyone think of a powershell script, or some tool that will examine current groups and add the same groups from the new domain? The new domain contains all of the same groups from the old domain. Ideas anyone?
